From the time Em was born people always told me, just wait for the birthday parties to begin. I figured that would start around school age, but I guess I was wrong. I just took Em to a birthday party this past Saturday and we have another one in 2 weeks.
This past one was her first "real" friend's bday party. Of course last year she went to a few 1st birthday parties, but this was her first at a real party place. Her friend Alyssa was turning 2 and rented out the local Tumble Jungle and had open gym for an hour and then pizza and cupcakes. I bet you can guess which was Emmy's favorite part?!?!
She was actually really into playing around with the balls and bubbles and even the bouncy house, but when they said it was time to eat, her little eyes lite up (girl after my own heart). She devoured her piece of pizza and ate her cupcake even faster, even though I didn't think that was possible! She was one of the last sitting at the table, got a balloon as part of her goody bag, so she was a happy camper. The rest of the night she kept saying "Happy, Happy" (as in Happy Birthday). Now, we just can't wait for the next one...
