It's amazing how much can change in 1 week! I know Emily is changing and growing all the time, but if I had to pick a week so far that I have visibly noticed the most changes I would say it was this past week. Here are some of our latest developments...
1. Emily is in the process of getting 3 more teeth. 1 more on the bottom and 2 on the top. 2 have broken through so far and we are now just waiting on the third. These teeth seemed to be more bothersome than the past 1, but she has still been a trooper considering the pain she must be in. The only downside is every so often I hear the scraping of the top and bottom teeth together. I think she is exploring this new sensation, but personally the noise is like nails on a chalkboard, ahhhh!
2. If you tell Emily to "Go Sleep" she will tilt her head to the side and pretend she is sleeping. She even took this to a new level, while we were out to lunch one day in Florida and decided to rest her head on the table. It was hilarious!
I tried to get her to do it for the camera, but instead she was entertaining us in her own way!
3. If you say "How Big is Emmy" she puts her hands above her head. At first we couldn't figure out why it always just seemed like she was resting them on her head, but then we realized her arms were so little that she couldn't reach beyond resting them on her head - so cute.
4. Emily has also been playing peek-a-boo with anything and everything she can find including, blankets, her stuffed animals, board game boards, clothing, toys. You name it, she has tried it. Even if we can still see her, she still thinks it's funny.
5. She has starting waving to people and especially likes to do it when she sees her self in the mirror. This morning while I was getting her out from a nap, I sat her up in her crib for a minute and Charlie came into the room at the same time. I said "Hi Charlie" and she started waving at him!
6. Lastly, she is starting to CRAWL! I can't believe it and have a feeling in the next week or so she will be cruising, she always looks so determined. I will keep you posted! Here is a short clip of some of her first "moves". She always want to get anything she can't have, but no worries, I didn't let her eat the computer wire!
