Well, those days seem to be in the past now and I guess I need some more "training". In the past few weeks I seem to be at a loss on a lot of things. She is starting to say two words together, in a mini sentence, but instead of sometimes two separate words, they seem to be 2 words combined into 1, hence my troubles. It's frustrating for me and I'm sure for her, as well, when she so emphatically repeats the word over and over again knowing perfectly well what she wants and just getting annoyed at my constant requests for her to repeat herself.
I can proudly say that there has been some success along the way. While in Florida, we would sing Old McDonald in the car so Em wouldn't fall asleep before nap times. Besides Emma (if you will remember from a previous post), there was also "ca ca" on the farm just as many times. "Ca Ca"?!?! What the heck is that? I tried to ask her to repeat the names of people or animals we knew with C names and I always came up unsuccessful. I was still at a complete loss until just the other night. While reading her "Tuck Me In" book with daddy, he turned the page and saw the peacock and she pointed and said "ca ca". YAY!!! The mystery has been solved (well at least this one). He came running down to tell me, with this grin on his face, as if he was a cat that just ate a mouse. I guess it continues to still be the little things in life, and yes, I rested a little easier that night :)
