Happy Halloween

Halloween Finally Arrived!!! This year Emily was a lamb and we had been practicing our baaa, baaas for week and weeks. We went to Main Street here in town with the hundreds of other kids and at first Emily really wasn't sure what to make of this whole trick or treating event, but eventually she got the hang of it. She would walk up to the houses with daddy, reach in for some candy with such delight or sometimes she would take a piece out of her bowl and give it back to the people, she's so sweet! We had a great time and think our little lamb did too!

YUM snickers! Too bad daddy ate it while she was sleeping

The toothbrush was her favorite treat!

Playing in her room!

Every night before bed we take about 20-30 minutes to run around in Emmy's room. She loves her room and we don't play in their during the day, so she loves this time at night. I have been meaning to film her for weeks because she's just so darn cute, but kept forgetting. The other night I finally remembered. Enjoy!

Trip to Silverman Farm

Emily LOVES animals. At first she's a little tentative but always seems to warm up. She spots dogs out of the car window even when I haven't seen them and tells me by doing her best doggie bark. The other day I wanted to take advantage of the warm weather so we headed to our local farm. She loved seeing the animals especially the sheep or baaa, baaas, as she likes to call them.

Pumpkins & Donuts

On Sunday we met Aunt Mia & Uncle Kris to pick out our pumpkins. It was a beautiful fall day and I remember last year it was just as beautiful, but Emily was in the Baby Bjorn and this year she was running around. I know I keep saying it, but I just can't believe how quickly she is growing and changing. We all picked out beautiful pumpkins (that we can't wait to carve) and enjoyed delicious cider donuts!

She doesn't look happy but I swear she had fun. She was just mad we stopped her from running around to get this shot!

Back at home with mommy...it was windy!

Zach's Bar Mitzvah

On October 8th we went to our cousin Zach's Bar Mitzvah. It was such a beautiful day, Zach did a great job, and we all had a lot of fun. Fortunately there was a small daycare room in the temple so Andy and Em hung out in there for the service. We had tried bringing her in but she kept walking back and forth from Mimi and I saying our names over and over again. We thought it was funny, but I'm not sure the Rabbi felt the same way.

After the service we headed over to the reception which was held at a gorgeous Harbour Club just a few minutes away. At first, Em had no idea what to think of this place, with all the loud music, crazy dancers and people, but after a mere 2 hours she felt comfortable. She danced a bit with me (great workout carrying a 25 lb baby in high heels) and a little with her cousins, especially Julia who she likes to call "YA". At the end she was running all over the place looking for people she knew, it was hilarious. We can't wait for the next party!

"Nice" dinner out

Whenever our husbands are working late or out of town a few ladies and I will get together for dinner so we aren't spending our days and nights alone. This particular evening it was just Sandra, Payton, Emily and I, but we had a great time. Well let's say the girls had a great time and Sandra and I had an "ok" time. If you have ever been out to dinner with a 15 month old you can understand it's not the most relaxing.

Anyway, we went to a nicer place (than we should have) and the girls were very patient but the service was a bit slow. After the first hour they had, had enough but continued to both in their cheery voices say "Hi" to the waitress each and every time she came over. As soon as she would leave we would get whiny and pleas to get out of the chairs so we begged the waitress to just stay at our table forever, but unfortunately she couldn't.

I'm think next time we'll just order take-out!
